We’re so excited to share the inspiring story of Luis & Sandy, a determined and kind couple who just bought their second home — a beautiful townhouse that marks a key step in their move-up journey and continued dream of homeownership!
Our story together began back in December 2021, when we first connected. At the time, they weren’t quite ready financially, but they had a clear vision and were committed to preparing the right way. We stayed in touch as they worked behind the scenes to strengthen their position.
Eventually, Luis reached out when the time felt right. We connected them with Adriana Clapper, one of our preferred and trusted loan officers at Cornerstone First Mortgage. Together, they worked closely to obtain a strong pre-approval, which allowed us to confidently move forward and define their home search criteria.
After touring a couple of options, we made some adjustments to focus more specifically on their true priorities. And then — just in time — the perfect opportunity came on the market! A townhouse in Montgomery Village that checked all the boxes: location, space, layout, potential, and community amenities. 💫
We moved quickly — confirming with Adriana that it was a good financial fit, and then reaching out to the listing agent, Ann McClure with Corcoran McEnearney, to understand the seller’s needs. With that information, we helped Luis and Sandy prepare a strong and well-strategized offer — one they felt good about and that positioned them competitively.
💡 A Smart Move in the Negotiation
As part of our strategy to beat multiple competing offers — and in response to the seller’s request — we adjusted the closing date to one sooner than originally proposed. This flexibility ultimately helped tip the scales in our favor and secure the home for Luis and Sandy. ✅
Although the new closing date meant we couldn’t be there in person due to a previously planned international trip, teamwork makes everything possible! We coordinated with our trusted colleague, Krishna Dasari, who was physically present for both the final walk-through and the closing. Meanwhile, we stayed fully engaged — working remotely from Colombia to ensure every detail was handled smoothly and professionally. 🌎💻
Then, just 30 days after contract ratification, Closing Day arrived on August 22, 2025 — and with it, the beginning of a new chapter for this amazing couple.
